Promotes assessment of the inbuilt safety attributes of roads in central and south-east Europe using EuroRAP protocols, which support safer road infrastructure and are embedded in national road safety strategies across Europe
Has worked on national road assessment projects and several large transnational projects with the European Commission including the European Road Safety Atlas and the 14-country €1.4m SENSoR (South East Neighbourhood Safe Routes) programme covering 19.000km of roads in south-east Europe.

Stephen joined EuroRAP as its managing director in 2014 after spending over 25 years working in government affairs, most recently in Brussels for Hyundai. Earlier in his career he was a university lecturer, managing director of a firm of international trade policy advisors, and co-founder of a Brussels-based public affairs consultancy. He worked on government affairs and technical regulation in Toyota’s European headquarters for almost ten years. Stephen is leading the advocacy for increased travel for at least 3-star roads in Europe and further afield. firstname.lastname@example.org
EuroRAP established its branch office in Slovakia in response to an increasing workload in central and south-east Europe. Martin is its managing director. He graduated from the University of Economics in Bratislava. Formerly working for the Slovak FIA member clubs SATC and SAMS, he also became EuroRAP’s Slovak national coordinator in 2005. He has successfully managed the European Road Safety Atlas (2011) project for Slovakia and made significant inputs to EuroRAP’s SENSoR project, completed for the South East Europe Transnational Cooperation Programme in 2014. He is national director for project RADAR (Risk Assessment on Danube Area Roads) in Slovakia. email@example.com
